Intel is getting more serious about graphics. Next year we can expect the company's third attempt at getting into the discrete video card market and in the meantime we can anticipate a major performance increase for the firm's next-gen integrated graphics. Expected to be introduced later this year, the 10nm Ice Lake CPU architecture will come with the new Gen11 integrated graphics.

The specifications of Gen11 have received a big boost and this should result in a massive performance increase versus the chip giant's current integrated graphics solutions. WCCF Tech came across a possible leak that shows the Gen11 iGPU hitting performance in excess of NVIDIA's GeForce MX130 in the Ashes of the Singularity benchmark:
The Intel Gen 11 GPU ES sample scores 20.4 fps on average in the low 1080p setting. An Intel UHD 620 achieves roughly 10 fps while an MX110 and MX130 achieve 17.7 and 20.1 respectively. In other words, the Intel Gen 11 iGPU makes the MX110 and MX130 redundant. This is great news for PC builders that do not have the budget to upgrade at the time of the build but still want to get in some casual gaming (think MOBAs) and of course, the entire mobility scene.
Take it with a grain of salt though, as we can't verify the accuracy of this leak. Still, Intel's next-gen iGPUs will definitely be a lot faster than what we're used to.
