Microsoft's Windows 10 19H2 update is likely going to be released to the general public later this year. Compared with previous Windows 10 updates, this will be a relatively minor upgrade.

Last week, the software giant detailed some of the changes on the Windows blog. Among other things, Windows 10 19H2 will feature power efficiency gains for PCs with certain CPUs and it will also have "favored core" feature to improve performance and reliability:
A CPU may have multiple “favored” cores (logical processors of the highest available scheduling class). To provide better performance and reliability, we have implemented a rotation policy that distributes work more fairly among these favored cores.
A favored core is basically a core that has better power and performance characteristics than other cores on the same CPU. There are differences between cores, the better graded ones can for example run at lower voltages or overclock higher than other cores.

A post by Bleeping Computer suggests this feature may be exclusively for Intel CPUs with Turbo Boost Max Technology 3.0.
