Despite faster alternatives, SSD makers are still rolling out new solid state disk products. Kingston just introduced the KC600, a new SSD line that features the latest 3D TLC NAND flash memory. These 2.5" disks use the SATA 6Gbps interface and are available in 256GB, 512GB, 1024GB, and 2048GB editions. These models top out at 550MB/s read speed and 520MB/s write speed, with exception of the 256GB version, which is limited to a maximum 500MB/s write speed. IOPS isn't mentioned in the press release below. Kingston offers a 5-year warranty on these disks. Pricing is unknown.

KC600 will be available in capacities up to 2TB utilizing the latest 3D TLC NAND technology and has read/write speeds up to 550/520MB/s, respectively. It is offered as both a stand-alone SSD or as a bundle kit which provides everything needed for an easy desktop or notebook upgrade installation.

KC600 is currently available in 256GB and 512GB capacities, with 1024GB and 2048GB shipping soon. KC600 is backed by a limited five-year warranty, free technical support and legendary Kingston reliability.
