AMD
TechPowerUp got its hands on an OEM version of the AMD Radeon RX 5500 video card. This card is made by PCPartner, the company that makes most of AMD's reference cards, and it has the exact core, memory, and clockspeed configuration as the upcoming retail version. The results of the card are quite interesting, it offers performance on-par with the Radeon RX 580 but with a much better power, heat and noise profile.

It's still a bit hard to judge how this card will rate as AMD hasn't communicated the official pricing yet, but it seems the value proposition will be quite good:
Overall, the RX 5500 is a solid entry in this market segment. Just its announcement was disruptive enough to force NVIDIA to change its plans and release new updated products. The Radeon RX 5500 reference design can definitely impress, so let's hope AMD figures out retail channel availability soon, and board partners can release their custom designs. Assuming pricing will end up at $150 or below, I'm giving this card "Recommended" and "Great Value".
