NVIDIA ForceWare drivers compared

Posted on Friday, September 23 2005 @ 07:31:17 CEST by

Oops, sorry for the typo. Here's the corrected version. Tech-Hounds recently posted an article about Forceware 78.01. In that article they compared it to older driver versions, such as the 77.72 and 66.93. They've discovered that newer games runs better, or at least the way it should be with 78.01. But there are some bugs with older games, such as Splinter Cell and F1 Career Challenge. You could say, that the 78.01 is more bug oriented update rather than a performance update.

"NVIDIA quickly responded to gamers' complaints about bugs in Forceware 77.72 by releasing new drivers. The latest Forceware version is version 78.01. Of course, we're intrigued - partly to see whether or not the bugs we've found are fixed. We even take these drivers for a spin in Battlefield 2. Our conclusion: these drivers some improvements, but still retains the same bugs."

Read on over at Tech-Hounds.
