Global PC sales down 30 percent

Speaking to industry sources, Taiwanese tech site DigiTimes heard that the coronavirus pandemic will have a massive impact on PC shipments.

Current estimates are that sales will fall 30 percent year-over-year in the first half of 2020. Demand is lower than normal in China, Europa, and the US. Furthermore, there are also supply issues.

These are challenging times for a lot of companies and it's hard to make long-term forecasts. In the short-term, things look pretty bleak and it will be interesting to see how fast things recover once the worst of the pandemic is over. It does seem that 2020 will be a "lost year" for a lot of workers, companies and countries.
