Twitter user APISAK discovered more performance scores of the Intel Xe DG1 solution. This is an entry-level card that seems to be primarily intended for developers, it's assumed it will not be offered as a retail product. VideoCardz reports that the Xe DG1 is slower than the AMD Radeon RX 560 and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti cards.
The DG1 score found by APISAK puts the DG1 under Radeon RX 560 and GeForce GTX 1050 Ti. We were hoping to see better performance from DG1 as we approach the Xe graphics launch. After all, it has been 5 months since the announcement. However, this seems not to be the case.
The DG1 is largely a faster version of the integrated graphics found in the upcoming Tiger Lake mobile processors. The first true Xe-based retail discrete video card from Intel is believed to be the DG2, which reportedly has twice as many cores per execution unit (EU) as the DG1. It's rumored that DG2 also has twice as many "slices" in the GPU, which would result in a core count of at least four times higher than the DG1.
