It's time for the daily dose of salt. Tom from YouTube channel Moore's Law is Dead claims he received some information about AMD's upcoming "Big Navi" GPU. This RDNA2 based chip will reportedly pack massive performance in a relatively small die area.

Interestingly, the YouTube channel heard these rumors from a source at NVIDIA. So it's not really a leak from AMD but leaked "competitive analysis" from NVIDIA.

If the leak is accurate, NVIDIA seems to believe that AMD's Big Navi will be a 427mm² chip, which makes it even smaller than the GeForce RTX 2070 (445mm²). Despite the small size, Big Navi reportedly packs a performance level that's 40 to 50 percent ahead of the GeForce RTX 2080 Ti.

One model is rumored to have 72 compute units, with two clusters of 36 CUs in each. This results in a total of 4608 streaming units. It's believed the chip has a 384-bit GDDR6 memory bus, a 2.05GHz Game clock, 2.15GHz Boost clock, and a power consumption of around 300W.

It would definitely be interesting if this is true.
