Ahead of the September 1st reveal of NVIDIA's Ampere-based desktop video cards, more and more rumors and sightings are popping up. VideoCardz writes the RTX 3080 was discovered in the database of the Userbenchmark website. The entry reveals this card has 10GB memory clocked at 19Gbps and a maximum core clockspeed of 2.1GHz. VideoCardz speculates the actual clockspeed will likely be below 1.7GHz, clockspeeds are expected to be largely in-line with the RTX 20 series:
The same 2206 ID has been found by @_rogame on the Userbenchmark website. It showcases a device with 10GB of memory clocked at 4750 Mhz. That’s an effective clock speed of 19 Gbps. The core clock has been reported at a maximum (limit) of 2.1 GHz. The limit is similar to the Turing series. The actual clock speed is likely to be under around 1.7 GHz as reported earlier. What this means is that we should not expect a big difference between RTX 20 and RTX 30 series in terms of clock speeds.
