We're just two days away from the reveal of NVIDIA's Ampere-based desktop cards. More and more stuff is leaking ahead of the September 1 announcement, including a render of the GA102 GPU. VideoCardz got its hands on a leaked render shot from Zotac that shows just how big the new GA102 GPU is. This is the chip that will be used by the GeForce RTX 3080 and RTX 3090 series.
The custom board for ZOTAC RTX Trinity features 20 power stages. Of course, this is just a render so deeper analysis is pointless at this stage. It is quite clear, however, that the RTX card does not have an NVLink SLI finger. The lack of NV Link points towards RTX 3080, while a total of 12 memory modules suggests we are looking at RTX 3090.
