FSP debuts the Hydro PTM PRO power supply series. These models are 80Plus Platinum certified, they feature a single +12V rail, and fully modular ribbon cables for easier cable management. FSP uses a fluid dynamic bearing fan and the PSU has a switch at the back of its chassis that enables you to turn on a low-noise ECO mode. This means the fan will not spin until the PSU load exceeds 30 percent. One special feature of this PSU is that it can operate in environments with a high humidity. FSP says it's designed for up to 95% relative humidity. The manufacturer offers 650W, 750W, 850W, 1000W and 1200W versions. These units have a MSRP of $164.99, $189.99, $214.99, $249.99, and $269.99, respectively.
Compared to the previous generation, Hydro PTM PRO is an IEC62368 certified PSU that has been greatly improved in its safety design as well as a more compact dimension without compromising its efficiency. It comes with exclusive Off-Wet technology "conformal coating", which protects the power supply and its internal components from dust, humidity, stains for harsh environments, the Hydro PTM PRO series is tested to work perfectly even in 95% relative humidity.
