Microsoft confirms Windows XP SP3

Microsoft has confirmed it will release a third service pack for Windows XP.

The Windows XP SP3 will be another major update and will be available in 2006, after the launch of Windows Vista.

More details will become available over the coming months but things like Internet Explorer 7 will probably be part of SP3.
