got its hands on the first photo of the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 (GA104-300) GPU. This chip will be used for the upcoming GeForce RTX 3070 discrete video card. Priced at $499, these models will offer 5888 CUDA cores, a 256-bit memory bus and 8GB GDDR6 memory. Availability is expected on October 29th and reviews should be online later today.
The GA104-300 GPU is a variant for desktop GeForce RTX 3070. This particular model will feature 5888 CUDA cores, 184 Tensor cores, and 46 RT cores. The GA104 has 17.4 billion transistors, compared to 28.3 billion on GA102. The die size is also a lot smaller: 392 mm2 compared to GA102’s 628 mm2. The GPU is manufactured using a Samsung 8nm fabrication node.
