Fresh marketshare data from AdDuplex reveals 1.7 percent of all Windows 10 systems are now running the recently released Windows 10 October 2020 Update. However, it appears the new version has issues with some drivers.

On the Windows 10 October 2020 Update status page, Microsoft confirms there are problems with certain Conexant or Synaptics audio drivers. Windows 10 May 2020 Update is also affected. Details about the exact driver versions can be found on the status page. Potential issues include Blue Screen of Deaths (BSODs) and other errors.

Microsoft and Synaptics are working on a resolution. The Windows 10 update will be blocked on systems that are using these drivers. Furthermore, Microsoft recommends not to install these drivers on systems that are running Windows 10 May 2020 Update or Windows 10 October 2020 Update.
