There is a new DDR4 memory overclocking record! Chinese overclocker baby_j managed to overclock the Crucial Ballistix Max DDR4-4000 (BLM16G40C18U4B.M8FB1) memory to a whopping 7004MHz.

The feat was achieved by using liquid nitrogen to chill the memory to extremely low temperature. The overclocker used a system with the AMD Ryzen 5 PRO 4650G and the MSI MEG B550 Unify-X motherboard. It seems the 4000 series APUs from AMD are quite potent for memory overclocking.
