Atom Chip's AtomChip SG220-2 super notebook - it's a hoax

When seeing the product page of the AtomChip®SG220-2 notebook many people will be surprised by the specifications of this feature-packed super notebook.

Atom Chip Corporation claims this notebook is a revolution. It features a 6.8GHz AtomChip Quantum II processor, runs both Microsoft Windows XP Professional and Linux with Voice Command, has 1TB Quantum-Optical non-volatile RAM, 2TB non-volatile Quantum RAM storage capacity, a 12.1" WXGA display, an integrated 1.3 megapixel digital camera and much more. You can check out the product page over here.

The system should be available in January 2006 for a price of $8,500 to $15,000, depending on "the completeness" according to Atom Chip.

However, I can assure u that this product is vaporware. It's to good to be true and it doesn't exist because it is just impossible.

Atom Chip claims the system has 1TB of RAM memory and according to the screenshots the system runs the 32-bit version of Windows XP Professional. This is a clear indication that this is a hoax because Windows XP can only handle 4GB of memory. Heck, even the 64-bit Windows XP Professional can only handle 16GB of RAM memory.

a 64 bit chip should be able to handle up to 17 billion gigabytes of RAM.. that is to say, they ought to be able to handle 17 billion combinations of 1's and 0's for addresses.

This is most definitely a hoax.
