DIY iPod nano lanyard

Todd learns you how to create a do-it-yourself iPod nano lanyard:
I had just removed the old Apple iPod Dock Connector to Firewire Cable from my dock, replacing it with the nano USB version. Suddenly, inspiration hit. The iPod nano lanyard headphones appeared to just use the dock connector to hold the nano. Would the firewire cable’s dock connector hold the nano securely?

A few moments later, I had my answer. Yes!
