The next version of 3DMark, 3DMark06, will likely feature support for AGEIA's PhysX Physics Processing Unit (PPU).

This PPU will come mounted on a PCI card and can be used by games or other programs to render realistic physics.

The first PhysX cards manufactured by Asus and BFG should arrive before the end of this year and will have a price tag of about $250.

Additionally, 3DMark06 will also feature support for multi-core processors.
