Performance scores of the new AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX "Cezanne" laptop APU appeared in the PassMark database. Despite not even being the fastest Cezanne chip from AMD the 5900HX is now the fastest chip in the PassMark mobile CPU ranking in both single and multi-threaded performance.

The Ryzen 9 5900HX scored 24,039 in the multi-threaded test, which is 21 percent better than the Ryzen 9 4900HS, the previous record holder. In single-threaded testing the new AMD chip achieved 3365 points, which is 11.8 percent better than the second-best, the Intel Core i7-1185G7.
The CPU has been tested with ASUS ROG Strix SCAR 17 G733 gaming laptop. ASUS is among the few notebook makers who decided to completely shift their high-end laptop portfolio to AMD CPUs.
