Nokia's first VoWLAN phone coming before year-end

Before the end of this year Nokia will unveil the first Voice of Wireless LAN (VoWLAN) phones for businesses and in the first half of 2006 we can expect the first dual mode consumer models.

Analysts expect all Nokia's future phones for businesses will be equipped with Wi-Fi capabilities.
Nokia predicts there will be speedy growth for phone calls transported over Internet-based wireless networks.

Theoretically some 88 percent of the traffic handled by mobile networks could migrate to new Internet-based networks, Lintula said.
