Next week, NVIDIA will kick off its GPU Technology Conference. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this will be a digital-only event, of course. The conference takes place from April 12 to 16 and will feature a keynote from NVIDIA CEO Jen-Hsun Huang.

Just like last year, the keynote will be delivered again from Huang's kitchen. A livestream will be provided via NVIDIA's website on April 12, 8:30 a.m. PDT.

A year ago, Huang pulled an NVIDIA HGX system with the A100 Ampere GPUs out of his oven. One of the video teasers from NVIDIA contains some morse code that promises "hidden treasure", it's basically an online treasure hunt.

If you're hoping for details about new gaming hardware, the odds are low that this will be part of tomorrow's keynote. Previous GTC keynotes have never been used for consumer hardware -- this conference is all about the datacenter and machine learning markets. We may hear news about NVIDIA's next GPU architecture for the server market though, so that could provide some clues about the future direction of the consumer GeForce series.
