Some slight delays for NVIDIA's next Ampere-based video cards. This is another exclusive leak from VideoCardz, the one stop shop for the hottest video card rumors.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti and RTX 3070 Ti announcement late this month -- launch in June

The site heard there have been some slight delays. Previously, it was said that the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti would be announced on May 18, with availability slated for May 26th. This is no longer the case.

The new launch schedule indicates both the GeForce RTX 3070 Ti and GeForce RTX 3080 Ti will be introduced on May 31st via a paperlaunch. Reviews of the former will hit the web on June 2nd and the publication of tests of the RTX 3080 Ti are scheduled for June 9th.

It will be interesting to see if these dates stick! As VideoCards points out, this is the fifth product launch change. It does seem a bit more final now, but another delay can't be ruled out of course.
We received this update shortly after our colleagues at Overclocking.com were also able to confirm the June release. While this is the fifth update to AIBs on the launch schedule of both cards, it is actually the first time NVIDIA confirmed the exact dates of both SKUs. So yes, it seems to be final, but at this point, we can’t promise it won’t change again.
The site also notes NVIDIA intends to replace its current Ampere GPU lineup with GA10X-XX2 GPUs over the coming two months. The first cards with these "Lite Hash Rate" GPUs should hit the market in the coming weeks. It's a new cryptocurrency hash rate limiter intended to make the GeForce cards less appealing to miners. There's still some doubt about whether the GeForce RTX 3090 will get a hash rate limiter, but it seems pretty certain that this "feature" is coming to all other Ampere-based video cards.
