Reports are going around in Asia that NVIDIA's supply of GeForce RTX 3060 GPUs will get a big boost towards the end of the month. VideoCardz reports NVIDIA is focussing on Internet Cafes, which are still very popular in China. Internet Cafes saw a decline in popularity due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and a lot of them got turned into mining farms, but they are now reportedly attracting more clients again.
According to the post from Board Channels forums, Internet Cafe owners can now make preorders for RTX 3060 graphics cards, which would be ready to ship around July 10th. Board partners can now accept deposits on new orders, which is a sign that the supply is clearly coming.
As the original report focuses on China, it's unknown what this means for the rest of the world. There are some early signs though that the GPU market is improving, street prices are still elevated, but down significantly versus recent peaks.
