Yesterday we got word from Intel that the Arc Alchemist gaming GPUs will hit the market in Q1 2022. Alchemist is the retail name of the DG2, Intel's first shot at competing in the gaming GPU market.

Intel's announcement was light on details and we still know relatively little about the expected performance level of the Arc Alchemist GPUs. The chip giant did confirm that Arc Alchemist will support both ray tracing and a high-quality AI-based supersampling technology.

Via Twitter, Intel Graphics Research VP Anton Kaplanya revealed that more information about this NVIDIA DLSS rival will be disclosed later this week. Intel's neural-based supersampling technology is reportedly codenamed XeSS.
