Earlier this week, AMD CEO Lisa Su confirmed during the company's earnings call that RDNA3 is on track for a launch sometime later this year. Furthermore, Su also promised investments in more capacity will result in the firm being able to deliver more video cards to the market. She elaborated that AMD has been working with its supply chain for the last four or five quarters to boost output. Zen 4 CPUs will also launch later this year.
"Demand for our product is very strong," says Dr. Su in the recent earnings call, "and we look forward to another year of significant growth and share gains as we ramp our current products and launch our next wave of Zen 4 CPUs and RDNA 3 GPUs. We have also made significant investments to secure the capacity needed to support our growth in 2022 and beyond."
RDNA3 is rumored to be made on the TSMC N5 and N6 process nodes. There is not a lot of official information but rumors have been going around for some time now that at least some Radeon RX 7000 series parts will be based on a multi-chip module (MCM) design. Basically, it will be AMD's move towards more, but smaller cores, rather than one big monolithic core.
