ATI lowering price of Radeon 7500/9000PRO chips

ATI recently lowered prices for several products to make room for its upcoming Radeon 9700 and Radeon 9500 graphics chips and better compete against Nvidia’s new AGP 8x-supporting NV18 and NV28 chips :

ATI announced a 3-5% discount on its Radeon 9000 PRO and Radeon 7500 graphics chips for card-manufacturing clients. It also cut the price of Radeon 9000 PRO-based graphics cards that it self-produces for the North American market from US$149 to US$129. With these moves, ATI hopes to speed up the transition from AGP4x products to AGP 8x lines.
