NVIDIA to launch Quadro cards with dual transmitter

Posted on Wednesday, October 19 2005 @ 08:38:24 CEST by

ATI's Radeon X1800 and X1600 cards have dual transmitter support and The Inq claims they were told by NVIDIA that the GeForce 7800 supports dual transmitter too but at this time the company doesn't plan to launch cards with this feature.
Last week in Amsterdam, Nvidia told its partners that it wants to position its very successful Quadro cards into this market but pressure is building as ATI has driven this support to $199 desktop mainstream cards and, in Nvidia's case, you have to buy the ultra-expensive Quadro to have this kind of support.
