DigiTimes has posted an article about a report from Mercury Research on the processor market in Q3 2005.

During the third quarter of this year AMD was able to grab 17.8 percent of the market, while Intel still holds 80.8 percent.

However, for the first time since 2001, AMD managed to take hold of more than 20 percent of the desktop PC processor market as they reached 20.4 percent, following Intel with 77.5 percent.
