Here are the results from JPR's graphics desktop market report. They report ATI's lead over NVIDIA narrowed as compared to prior quarter. In the third quarter of this year ATI's grew 7.6 percent sequentially while NVIDIA's desktop shipments rose 28.3 percent.

During Q3 2005 a total of 50.9 million desktop graphics devices shipped and about 60.3 percent, or 30.7 million, of those were integrated parts.
Nvidia’s gains on the desktop side came from its standalone GPU products, shipments of which increased 20.0% during the quarter, as well as from its line of integrated graphics devices, shipments of which increased more than three-fold during the period, according to JPR.
