Microsoft announced
Office Live on Tuesday and Neowin managed to get their hands on a couple of screenshots of this upcoming Internet-based applications.
The company demoed an early version of Office Live, a managed web application for organising calendar, mail and contacts. Office Live will combine Web Hosting, Collaboration of Projects, Business Applications and Communications. Many expect a fully hosted version of Microsoft Office but this is not the company's intention for Office Live.
Microsoft demoed a payroll application using Office Live that could be used by small businesses to manage their payroll systems over a rich web interface.
Head over to
Neowin to check out the screenshots. A beta version of Office Live will be available in Q1 2006.
