Intel to launch Viiv at CES 2006

The Inq writes Intel will launch its Viiv platform at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas in January 2006.

" live digital and recorded TV programs, listen to music, check emails, burn DVDs, play PC games, surf the web--all under one roof. The Plix-Q media center will be made available in January 06. Ricavision, a leading provider of home digital entertainment solutions will be introducing the Intel VIIV-certified PLIX-Q Reload at CES. It features Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 allowing consumers to manage their professionals’ lives while having access to high-quality music, video, and photos—all of which can be synced to portable devices."
