DigiTimes reports Intel aims to boost the worldwide clone notebook market by teaming up with Quanta, Compal and Asus.
The chip giant has formed what it calls the Mobile Alliance (MA) with the players, with the goal being to boost the share of the clone market to 30-35% of the total notebook market within the next two years. The goal of the MA is to provide logistic and supply support for any distributor looking to develop sales of clone notebooks in a specific market, the sources stated.
