Intel planning 9xx processor price drop for April

The Inquirer writes Intel will release the 65nm Intel Pentium Extreme Edition 955 on January 15.

On April 23 we can also expect the Pentium Extreme Edition 960 which will be clocked at 3.6GHz. It will cost $640 and will also mean a price reduction for Intel's 950, 940, 930 and 920 processors.
This is described as more aggressive than usual. The reason for that is that Intel has to shift its stocks before mid year so it can have a party launching its brand new architecture.
