Hexus is the first with some detailed information on NVIDIA's upcoming 90nm G71 GPU. According to their sources the chip will be launched as NVIDIA GeForce 7900.

Some partners of NVIDIA apparently received samples of this GPU in order to prepare for a launch at CeBIT 2006 in Hannover, Germany (March 9-15).

It's expected NVIDIA will launch the GeForce 7900 GTX and GeForce 7900 GT between March 9 and March 11.

The top-end GeForce 7900 GTX will have 32 pixel pipelines and a 700/750MHz core along with 1.1ns graphics memory clocked at 800/900MHz. It's expected the GeForce 7900 GTX will be quit some faster as according to the article it only needs to run at 430MHz to roughly match the performance of the NVIDIA GeForce 7800 GTX 512MB.

It's believed the 700MHz NVIDIA GeForce 7900 will break the 13,000 mark in 3DMark05 on an AMD Athlon 64 FX-60 based PC.
