DigiTimes reports that the unit price for Intel's 865 chipset is now only $3 to $5 higher than equivalent chipsets from SiS and VIA.
Intel’s resumed production of these 865-series chipsets is now expected to hit the two Taiwan-based chipset players' revenue performances as early as the end of the first quarter, the sources expect.
The 865 chipset serie from Intel is now priced at approximately $16-17.
