Intel Kentsfield - gamer processor with four cores

The Intel Kentsfield will be an interesting processor. It will be a next-generation 65nm Extreme Edition that will be launched in early 2007.

This processor will feature four cores:
Yeah, you read that right, Intel is going to jump to 4 cores for EE/XE class parts sooner rather than later. This part is going to be more or less a dual die part very similar to Clovertown, and it will most likely share all of that chip's attributes, FSB, TDP and cache. If it carries the same performance as Clovertown, AMD is going to have to scramble to keep the gaming crown.
