This flash memory stick features 512MB memory and can be used to transfer data, pictures, music, video, ... It has a small profile of just 0.79 x 2.6 x 0.48 inches and is easy to take with you.

I bought this device for one's birthday present. Then I bought two more as graduation presents. So far the recipients of this gift enjoyed Sandisk Mini-Cruzer. It has a reliable construction and a compact design. I see that it would work well when one has little space to insert the jump drive(i.e.-when one has to insert this into a USB slot on the back of the computer that is adjacent to many cables on the back of the computer). This is a great device for keeping backups of files, especially on computers that do not have CD-RW drives, and for fast backups.

The only caveat is that user education is necessary. The recipients of this gift did not know to unmount this USB device before I submitted a review. (Luckily, I submitted the review before they started using the device.) For everyone with whom you share, I would recommend reminding them to unmount it by clicking on the stop button of the "safely remove hardware" icon and keeping post-its on computers reminding them to unmount it.

Hopefully, this device would be a joy for us to use for plenty of years to come.
