PC Mag checked out this new beta version of Office 2007 and writes:

As of the Technical Refresh, Office has shed the preliminary name "Microsoft Office 12" for its final name, Microsoft Office 2007, and sports an improved version of the new ribbon interface that produced mixed but mostly positive reviews on the initial beta. Microsoft claims to have swatted many unspecified bugs but added no new features. The interface is still in a state of flux, and the new version won't be the same as the final one.
