Owners of the Apple MacBook Pro or other cutting-edge laptops, rejoice: The first ExpressCards for Verizon Wireless's BroadbandAccess EV-DO network are here, and they work just fine. The Novatel Wireless V640, currently on sale from Verizon Wireless, performs about on a par with the Editors' Choice Kyocera KPC650 PC Card. More important for many, though, is that it works in an ExpressCard/34 slot such as those found on new Apple, ASUS, Dell, HP, and Lenovo laptops.
