Throughout my games I didn't notice any loss of quality, the bass and surround sound provided an excellent balance, not too much bass or treble. The sweet sound of lead piercing flesh and bone is music to my ears. As I played my RTS/FPS games, I could hear directional sound clearly so the surround sound actually does work.
